Kavourakia Ta

Kavourakia Ta (Crabs The) is a project comprised of poems, photos and memes, typical fragments of the era they represent, summer ‘16-fall ‘17.
It considers facebook a parallel to the offline reality and serves as an archival impression of posts on the platform.
The title is self-sarcastic on multiple levels: a reference to the greek child song “so they cry, the little crabs”,
the stereotype of the cancer sign barer as sensitive and drama queen and then as a coming to terms with the fear of cancer, as a disease.
The page, material of which constructs the zine (un)fortunately is not online anymore, thus the zine’s historical and archival aspect.
